Bitcoin MENA brought together the global Bitcoin community to the Middle East for an event held at ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi – the regions first ever Bitcoin conference. It is the world’s largest and most globally recognized conference brand promoting the understanding and adoption of Bitcoin and blockchain technology. The gathering ran from December 9-10 and attracted leaders, high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, influencers, enthusiasts, and learners alike. 

Over the two days, attendees were able to explore the opportunity, challenges, and innovations facing the Bitcoin ecosystem in this region and beyond.

Xprizo’s PR & Communications Manager proudly represented the company to network and conduct a number of important meetings to round off the year. On top of this, Anita moderated a panel titled ‘Shaping the Future: Strategic Leadership & Bitcoin Adoption in the Middle East.’ 

Empowering women through financial inclusion is a passion project for Xprizo, so it was more than fitting that one of the panelists, Ms Aymman Shaikh, the Chief of International Business Development MENA in BTC Inc. was addressing the empowering women in financial inclusion with the help of blockchain technology.

There was a star-studded guest list that enabled Anita to meet with Abdulla Mohamed Al Dhaheri, David Bailey, Emily Bailey, Ms Aymman Sheikh, and Justin Sun. Two other noteworthy introductions were with Co-founder and former CEO of Binance CZ and Bitcoin Standard author, Saifedean Ammous.

Over the course of the two days, it was patently clear that the future looks particularly optimistic – rather than the often negatively slanted crypto generalisations. Eric Trump, EVP for the Trump Organisation, summarised the mood perfectly by stating that the value of Bitcoin could reach $1M.
