A thousand thank yous to our wonderful network of Xprizo agents which has now grown to more than 1000 people since launching in February 2021. Xprizo’s Agents Programme has been instrumental in enabling the company to redefine the landscape of digital transactions.
The first in-person agent event was held on 8th July 2023 to bring together the community. Xprizo’s recruitment strategy has been carefully designed to be easy-to-follow and readily accessible. It begins with an agent owning a smartphone, either iPhone or Android. Once the hardware is sourced, prospective agents are then prompted to download the Xprizo app or register via the web platform for iPhone users.
Onboarding is frictionless, but it does require the agents to complete the necessary KYC details and registration on the Xprizo agent portal as security is paramount. Additional information such as company name, trading licence, Xprizo user ID, three agent referrals, phone number and email address. Once all requirements are met the user is onboarded as an agent and can commence transacting.
Xprizo’s agents programme has huge potential and the ambition goes beyond the strong results already achieved. Plans are afoot to expand the agency’s reach to other East African states namely Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. The business also has its sights on DRC, South Sudan and Ethiopia in the near future.
With phase two focused on Nairobi and Coastal counties in Kenya, the following stage three is set to begin in Q2 of this year, with the hope of onboarding 2,000 agents from the Rift Valley and Central Kenya counties.
Xprizo’s aim is to ensure the company has agents active across all 80 commercial locations across Kenya. Regional expansion means the target is to begin operating in Uganda at the end of Q1 this coming month. During our phase one recruitment in Uganda we are seeking to recruit at least 3,000 agents during Q2 of this year with the focus being Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono districts.
The outstanding work the agents team has already completed has delivered huge success for the business and accelerated the greater mission of working with emerging markets to support the unbanked by making them financially included.
