As we continue to expand our footprint across Africa, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team in Kenya. This role will play a key part in accelerating Xprizo’s growth across both B2B and B2C segments in the local market.

 

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support and drive Xprizo’s marketing initiatives in Kenya by localising global strategies, coordinating with internal teams, and executing campaigns that strengthen brand visibility, user acquisition, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Localisation: Adapt and tailor marketing content (WhatsApp, email, and social media) to ensure cultural and linguistic relevance for the Kenyan market.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a local liaison between the international marketing team and local sales and customer success teams.
  • Market and Database Support: Assist in sourcing and managing databases for both B2B and B2C outreach initiatives and update CRM and Back Office Tools.
  • Campaign Execution: Take ownership of local marketing campaigns, supporting growth and engagement among existing and prospective users.
  • Brand Communication: Support local communications to users, including KYC and mass communication campaigns, ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging with high attention to detail.
  • Event Support: Coordinate and assist in hosting small-scale events, community engagements, and industry conferences to enhance Xprizo’s local presence.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to localised blog posts, social media updates, and other marketing materials to strengthen brand awareness.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign performance and provide insights to optimise marketing initiatives.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili (additional local languages are an advantage).
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles, including paid search and keyword management in local languages.
  • Demonstrated interest or prior experience in content creation (social media, blogs, newsletters, etc.).
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Interest in or prior exposure to the fintech industry will be an added advantage.
