Halfan is a specialist risk and compliance professional with over 15 years’ experience in the financial services in Africa. He began his career at the Kenya Commercial Bank as a management trainee. He thereafter joined the Capital Markets Authority, a body that regulated the Kenya capital markets. 

Other notable companies he has worked for are Equity Bank Group and Dubai Islamic Bank Kenya. The financial services sectors where he has gained a wealth of experience include banking, asset management, brokerage, insurance and payments.

Halfan joined Xprizo in March 2023 and he is currently the Head of Compliance. His role includes the establishment of the compliance department and ensuring that the company abides by all in-country regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions where Xprizo has entered. Halfan also ensures that compliance efforts complement the proper execution of the company strategy. He is passionate about Consumer protection and he aims to make it one of the cornerstones of the compliance function at Xprizo.

Passions outside of work are listening to music with his family, road trips with his family and cooking for his family and watching movies with great scripts and storylines. His perfect holiday includes family, the beach, good food, good music and tons of laughs.
